SATURDAY

My Dad has had an account in Axis Bank for a long time now. So, he is now a Priority customer and there are several advantages of being one!

For instance, we get 50% off (or, buy one get one free) on a movie ticket at Fun Cinemas and Fame every Friday! Whereas there’s an 30% off on the total ticket amount on other days! This is just about the movies, apart from this, there are several amazing discounts and privileges… However, this post is not to promote the bank! :P

So, back to the point! On Friday, while i was watching Avatar with a pal at Fun Cinemas Chembur, my dad called me up to enquire whether or not my friend had seen “Paa”. This was because the Bank was offering free tickets (of the desired number) to the movie on Saturday, 7pm show at Fun Chembur! My friend hadn’t yet seen the movie and so, dad ordered 7(including my family) tickets for the same.

Now, when we went to the movie but were greeted with some bad news. The show was supposed to start at 7pm, however due to some techy snag, it kept getting postponed until finally around 7.30, they announced that the show had to be cancelled! Whoever wished, could catch Rocket Singh which was just about to start, and the rest could get a refund! Figure that, since we hadn’t spent a penny on the tickets. In fact, neither of the people attending that show had, since the entire movie hall had been booked by the Bank for its Priority customers! Anyways, me, dad and my friend decided to catch Rocket Singh while the rest of the family left for home. It was a win-win situation for us since we were getting to watch Rocket Singh AND getting a refund for the other 4 tickets! However, even before Rocket Singh could start, they were successful in getting Paa running! So, we were given another choice to move back to Paa, else continue with Rocket Singh. For obvious reasons, we chose Paa! :P

Now everything was smooth when a Fun Cinemas representative came up to us and started distributing Pop corns saying it was complimentary! Another bonus!

So, at the end it did turn out to be a win-win situation after all! The movie itself was amazing, plus the free pop corn… All everyone could say was, “GO AXIS BANK, GO!”
